How to update your Print2RDP Client printer software to the latest version
- Log out of the Terminal Server.
- Save and Close all open windows and programs on the server.
- Click on START > Log Off.
- Confirm Log Off.
- Uninstall Print2RDP Client.
- Click on START > Control Panel (Some users may have to go START > Settings > Control Panel)
- Open 'Add or Remove Programs' (shown as 'Programs and Features' in Windows Vista)
- When list is finished generating scroll down and highlight Print2RDP Client
- Click Remove and follow the prompts to remove the software (Remove, do not Modify if given the choice)
- When uninstall is complete you may close the Add or Remove Programs window and also the Control Panel window.
- Install the latest client version.
- Open Internet Explorer (or your favorite browser)
- Type the following into the address bar (Case Sensitive) http://www.kotter.net/Print2RDP_Client.exe
- Click Run on the window that pops up. Repeat this step if you get this window again after downloading.
- Click Next > Accept > Next > Next > Remove the check mark for 'Citrix' > Next > Next
- Wait for install to finish then click Finish.
- Configure printer software.
- Select only the printers you print to from the left hand list.
- Click the green arrow in the center to add them to the list.
- Use the drop-down box at the bottom to specify your default printer.
- Switch to the Log Info Tab and remove the check mark for 'Enable Logging' - we do not want that checked.
- Click OK.
Log back in to the server and test printing. (Please allow up to 45 seconds after logging in to be sure the printers have time to finish connecting before you actually print.)
